Hope your all's morning is starting off as a positive one !! I truly love blogging, yes I wrote that. Well, as a person who has always loved the relationship between a pen and paper or pencil if you choose, of course they would love it. It is practice for my novel that I am working on as well I connect with my friends and fam with blogging . Sadly tho it has taken place of what so many girls used to treasure with their life, their diaries. I had one as a teenager, the kind ya know that had the lock on it. That way it kept my nosy ass brother out of it, lol. The little brother who used to come in or I should say snuck in my room to listen, jam, dance ( try to ) to my Billy Joel albums. LOL !! Well, from the events of Sunday and deciding that I can no longer support the online station due to my own personal beliefs. I guess I am okay with that, actually I am beyond okay with that. I don't know about you but I don't much care for people telling me to post something else, meaning promo something else instead of the constant promo I am doing for my friends. Well, yes I told them where to stick it hahah. As well, you just do NOT play Muddy Waters, then follow it with The Beatles My Guitar Gently Weeps, then followed by Etta James. Who the hell does that ??????? SMH ??? I don't care if the show title is not straight out Blues . You, don't disrespect that,meaning true blues music and the musicians . I looked up the Beatles as it was turning into a disagreement between me and my spouse. As of course he had to mention Eric Clapton. So, my discovery as I knew would be correct their was only the words Blues influential; mentioned once in the Beatles Wikipedia lengthy bio. ONCE !!! Not a few times just once. Look it up yourself if you disagree with me. BEATLES is ROCK and ROCK ONLY !! Or to be respectful to the members of Beatles let's call it Rock n Roll. As today rock music genre has a wide range of what people perceive to be rock. I still say if I were to do an interview with Buddy Guy or even if Etta James were still here, God bless her sweet blues soul, and I were to ask Buddy or Etta who was your influential musician that made you inspire the words to the latest song you just wrote? Was it Ringo Starr ?? Well, hell ( excuse my language ) if you ARE a Buddy fan you KNOW exactly what he would tell me. Girl, go back to studying and when you become a professional writer/interviewer than hit me with a different question. And a few other choice words he would add. I love that man by the way . LOL . The deal is THIS, The Beatles were inspired by the Blues artists later in their careers. End of the topic. I stand by with what I believe in and will till the day I die !!! I had wonderful mentors as a child/teen during my days. At the time of course like most teens, I took them for granted nothing personal , that is just how kids are. But, later in my adult life they came to mean the world to me. I can not dishonor them in any way. Granted, My Guitar Gently Weeps, is a true rock n roll classic song. It is NOT one of my favorites , but give credit where credit is due , its a classic. There are no personal reasons as to why it is not my favorite , it just isn't. When I heard that song played, and then the other reasons for my decisions of parting ways, well, it was just meant to be. I made a vow to myself to work on the family novel and hopefully have a rough draft completed before my grandmother turns 95. The station took up way too much of my personal time. So that is it in a nutshell. ALOT, of my friends had faith in me that I could accomplish the task at hand, and that meant the world to me. I owed this note today to my friends/fam. I am NOT a quitter I just stand by with what I believe in and what was taught to me. But, life is very good. I am staying busy and well just keep following as their is more to come !!
