Well almost time for nighty night !! What a day it has been very relaxing to say the least. Not, the football games I wanted to watch today however; basically Pack 10 games. Grrrrr ohh well, tomorrow hopefully is the day for some decent fall football games on the boob tube. And, a deal happened today was not liking to much. Received a letter in the mail again about this after school tutoring program that my son HAS to attend once again. Funny thing is he is getting A's and B's in all of his other classes but this one particular class. I don't understand. As well neither does he understand. Ohhh to do this part all over again I would so be homeschooling him. I don't like what they teach him in school to begin with, defintely not what we learned in high school, that is for sure. But, the class he is struggling with is reading. And, let us not really even discuss his teacher at the moment that is an entirely different blog for that topic. He tells me as I was interested and asking him questions like; " do you have to do a lot of reading, do you have some of the work in your backpack that I can see what your struggling with so I can help you, what is the class like ?? " His reply surprisingly to me was it is like Spanish mom, it's weird. Ok, time to make a phone call first thing Monday am. I hate when my child is NOT happy, especially when it entails school. I know high school is much harder than elementary, junior high. Teachers are tougher as they are getting ready to mold them into young adults to be able to face this mean rough world. I/we always teach our child the realities of the world. Not, making it out to be scary, mean and cold. We tell him life can be as good as you make it or as bad as you make it, it all depends on YOU !! Well anyways, I don't like public schools much, I wish we had private schools out where we lived or even charter schools would be okay in my book. It to me, is important that a teen knows and realizes that they have the choice to either have the world in the palm of their hand and make something positive out of it, or just be like everyone else who just lives in it day to day. What do you want exciting and fun and upbeat, or ho hum humdrum just another day. That is what is special about my relationship with my child is we talk. We tell each other several times a day, ""I love you ". And, when he is not feeling the love from others or in himself, that hurts me as a mom. The stresses of being a teenager is not fun. It's scary and freaky to them. They don't understand all the changes. All the changes in them with hormones and changes in the world. Meaning, they are noticing more worldly stuff that is going on. When they were in elementary and junior high it was about having fun enjoying life, the innocence of life. Now, its time to think about what am I going to do and be in four years from now. So, ya teachers need to understand more, empathize, etc. Okay, so we ended the day with hugs and love as we always do. I tell him don't think about that place till Monday am when the school bus comes, enjoy the weekend !! And, that is what we are going to do tomorrow/later today enjoy the day !!!! Yuppers, for me my family and God come way before anything else in this world !!!!! They come before my career , my hobbies etc. Everything else is secondary as it should always be ! So, enjoy the rest of your weekend people, with your loved ones , forget about the daily stresses of life and just kick back and say thank you for what is right in front of my face --LIFE !! Good night & sweet dreams & ALWAYS keep on Bluesing On !!!
